Spiced Drinking Chocolate - heirloom cacao with locally grown chilis

To brew:  Use 2 Tbsp mix per 8 oz liquid (water + milk of choice or all milk) for chocolate milk consistency and 3 Tbsp per 8oz liquid for thicker drinking chocolate.  Bring liquid to a gentle simmer.  Whisk in cacao mix and serve.

What I did do was add some apple cider vinegar, Joey’s Hot Sauce, my homemade habanero salt, and crushed red pepper to bring in some flavor and heat! This Hot Honey takes you on a journey! People love it on pizza, chicken wings, and pork loin. I love it drizzled on broccolini with some coconut aminos, giving it somewhat of an Asian flare, but one of my favorite things to do is to take homemade waffles, top them with ice cream and drizzle that Hot Honey all over it on top. OMG. The possibilities are endless—enjoy!!

Joey's comes in three levels of heat and 50/50 is right in the middle! It's 50% Hella Raiser (the hottest sauce we make) & 50% Priscilla the Creeper (a solid Medium heat). This is for someone who likes to kick it up a notch but still keep their head on their shoulders.
