FAQ

Q: Is the produce organic?

A: The majority of our produce is certified organic, and we also purchase from many small local farms that can’t afford the organic certification process but nevertheless use organic farming methods free of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, and GMOs. Any produce we purchase from outside the Rogue Valley or Applegate Valley (which we often do during winter) is always certified organic. We only choose the best for you!

Q: What is your delivery range?

A: We provide direct home delivery to Ashland, Talent, Phoenix, Medford, Jacksonville, Eagle Point, White City, and Gold Hill. We also serve customers in Rogue River and Grants Pass by delivering to a drop-site. If we find that your address is out of our delivery range, we are happy to coordinate a rendezvous on our delivery day.

Q: Do I have to sign up for a whole season?

A: No. You don’t need to make a commitment for any set period of time.

Q: How do you manage year-round deliveries when our regional growing period is relatively brief?

A: We have two main priorities at Rogue Produce. The first is to provide the highest-quality produce and food products available. The second is to purchase this quality produce from the most local sources as we can. During the main growing season, we have no problem acquiring all the fresh produce on our list from local vendors. In the winter, we extend our reach to certified organic growers to the north and south, but we try to work primarily with growers we’ve met in the Sacramento area such as Riverdog Farm and Full Belly Farm. Once it gets into the coldest months, we sometimes purchase organic produce from as far away as Mexico, but usually the only items coming from that distance are tomatoes and peppers.
